Dimraeth Combat Systems
Every swing is a commitment. Win the meters, then the health bar follows.
Dimraeth’s combat is Souls-lite, not a Diablo click-storm and not a full FromSoftware death march. Mudtek’s store line is the rule: every attack is a commitment. You read telegraphs, spend stamina, and choose to strike, dodge, block, or parry. Animation priority matters. You cannot cancel a committed swing because you got scared. The calibration is for solo through eight-player sessions, so a boss that is fair for one host should not instantly dissolve when seven friends pile on — and should not become unreadable noise either. Early Access on 15 September 2026 is when that tuning gets tested for real.

Three meters
Health is the obvious bar. Food from the stronghold is described as raising vitality — cook before you treat a boss as a damage race.
Stamina pays for physical actions: swings, grapples, dodges, and the movement that keeps you inside or outside a telegraph. Empty stamina is how you eat a combo you already saw coming. Brawler especially lives here: light armor, relentless pressure, no infinite roll.
Concentration pays for spells. It is not an out-of-combat fountain you sip between pulls as if this were a tab-target MMO. It regenerates in combat when you land basic attacks. A Magician who never uses the racial weapon will starve the bar that was supposed to make the elemental kit work. The hybrid is the point: Minotaur axe into earth spell, Human sword or crossbow into fire, Fairy staff into Brawler techniques.
Final Attack
The third hit in a string is a Final Attack. Do not mash as if hit one and hit three were identical. Space the string so the third hit actually lands. If you dodge-cancel your own count, you reset the payoff. In co-op, stacking eight people who all mash first hits is how a boss’s poise never breaks and your stamina does.
Five spells, three hundred options
You equip five spells at a time. The design pool is 300+. Race and class each contribute spells. Crafted spellbooks add universal magic if you meet attribute requirements. Rune sets on gear can add procs. The skill is the rotation of five, not a hotbar of forty.
A documented Minotaur Brawler keystone converts basic attacks to Blunt damage, which feeds the stun system. Magician copy talks fire, ice, and lightning blended with weapon strikes. Do not slot five long-cooldown nukes with no basic-attack glue — Concentration will not come back.
Build the five around a status plan. Stacks named in the design include Burning, Chill, Poison, and Bleeding. Buffs named include Rage, Kindled, and Inoculation. Official character-creation notes describe a Minotaur Magician (Earthshaker) spreading fire and proccing while enemies are Burning, versus a Human Magician turning existing fire into single-target nukes. That is a party conversation, not two people pressing the same button.
Poise and stun
Hits generate stun build-up. Blunt fills the bar fastest. When it fills, the enemy is stunned. This is why a blunt-leaning Brawler is not “bad DPS” just because a Magician’s number is bigger on a dummy: the stun window is where the five-spell bar gets spent for free. Poise is the other side of the same coin — you are interruptible too if you greed through a telegraph.
Do not invent hidden poise values this wiki has not measured. Watch the animation. If a boss is winding a wide swing, your job is stamina and spacing, not a theoretical spreadsheet.
Race still shows in the swing
A Minotaur swing is slow, wide, and earth-flavored: charge, quake, axe even on a ranged-leaning class. A Human swaps sword and crossbow. An Elf is marketed as magic-forward. A Fairy is a staff caster even as Brawler. If your character creation pick and your spell bar disagree, the fight will feel wrong before the numbers do.
Commitment in a group
Co-op does not pause enemy AI for a conference call. Drop-in means a sixth player can appear mid-telegraph. Call targets, call who is baiting the slam, and do not all dump Concentration on the first visible wind-up. Host on peer-to-peer; if the host’s machine stutters, commitment windows get unfair in a way no build fixes.
For named checks, use Boss Fights. Demo footage covers Monstrous Droop and the Corrupted Treant. Bounties exist as repeatable boss work. We do not invent extra names.
Practical habits
- Never open a pack at zero stamina.
- Land basics on purpose if you need Concentration.
- Count to three; spend the Final Attack.
- Keep one of the five spells as a movement or defensive tool, not a fifth nuke.
- If stun is your plan, bring Blunt or the keystone that converts you to Blunt.
- Rebind nothing blindly — see Controls and Input for supported schemes, not a leaked key list.
- After the fight, spend materials at the stronghold instead of standing in the arena comparing parse screenshots.
The combat overview video on this page is for timing and camera, not for copying an unconfirmed eight-button rotation. If a fight feels unfair, check the meters first. Health is the last bar to fail; stamina and Concentration usually fail earlier. Win those, then Wildwood starts to look like a forest instead of a wall. Other how-tos live on the Guides Hub if you need co-op or input after the meters make sense.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Dimraeth players.
How does Concentration regenerate?
In combat, when you land basic attacks. It is not a bar you ignore until you press a spell. Magicians still need weapon hits to fund the elemental kit.
What is a Final Attack?
The third hit in a string. Treat it as a payoff, not as identical to hit one. Resetting the count with panic dodges wastes the mechanic.
How many spells can I equip?
Five at a time. More than 300 exist across race, class, and crafted spellbooks. Spellbooks are attribute-gated.
What fills stun the fastest?
Blunt damage. A documented Minotaur Brawler keystone converts basic attacks to Blunt so they feed stun build-up faster.
Which status stacks are confirmed?
Burning, Chill, Poison, and Bleeding. Named buffs include Rage, Kindled, and Inoculation. Do not invent extra ailment names.
Is this a full Souls-like?
Mudtek tags it Souls-lite: committed attacks, stamina, telegraphs, and positioning, tuned for solo through eight-player co-op rather than a pure solo death-penalty fantasy.
