Dimraeth Pets
Nine unique Early Access pets with different abilities — named as a feature, not as a fake bestiary.
Pets in Dimraeth are not a secret menu. Mudtek teased pet screenshots in the 2 July 2026 Early Access date post, then put a hard number on the 2 September 2026 content list: nine unique pets with different abilities. Older playtest notes already mentioned a parrot and a pet courier. Those two are the only individual identities this wiki will write until the studio publishes the rest of the nine.
Steam Early Access is 15 September 2026. Pets sit on the same living-world loop as stronghold building: you go out, you fight, you come home. They are not a substitute for a five-spell bar. Read combat first if you still empty stamina on every pack.
The footage on this page is isometric play with crafting and exploration in the mix — the kind of session where a companion would actually walk with you. It is not an official pet trailer. Do not treat every animal on screen as one of the nine.
What is confirmed
- Nine unique pets at Early Access, each with different abilities. That is the 2 September wording. It is a roster size, not a stat table.
- July 2026 copy promised variety in visuals and gameplay, with more pets beyond the two screenshots they showed that day.
- Playtest hotfixes talked about a parrot that should only target monsters already in combat — a combat pet with targeting rules, not a cosmetic shoulder bird.
- A pet courier appears in older feature notes as a utility companion. Utility is a different job from a damage parrot.
- Pets travel with your hero, the same way gear does, because personal progression travels between worlds. Buildings and recruited NPCs do not. If a pet is bound to the character, it should follow you into a friend’s co-op session. If a later patch ties a ranch to the world, that would be a world flag — we have not been told that.
What this page will not invent
No fake names for the other seven pets. No invented damage percentages. No “best pet tier list” until there are public abilities to rank. A tier list of archetypes is already a beginner ranking of confirmed pairs. Pets are not ready for that treatment.
Do not collapse Myrll or forest wildlife into the pet roster. Myrll is an NPC. Squirrels and other critters in older patch notes are world dressing unless Mudtek says they are tamed.
How pets sit next to combat and base-building
Dimraeth combat is still stamina, Concentration, a third-hit Final Attack, and five equipped spells. A pet that attacks on its own does not replace your dodge. A courier that runs materials does not replace Faustas’s items loop. Think of pets as a third verb — attack, carry, or support — stacked on a hero who already has a race and a class.
If you are a Brawler, a combat pet that respects “already in combat” targeting is less likely to pull extra packs while you are inside a wind-up. If you are a Magician, you still have to land basics to refill Concentration; a pet is not a turret that lets you stand still. If you take the new Shadow class named on 2 September, wait for published kit notes before you assume it wants a stealth pet. We do not have those notes yet.
At the stronghold, pets are flavor until a ranch or furniture flag is documented. The same post that named nine pets also named furniture, crafting stations, and more base-building options. Those are village features. Do not merge them into one “pet house” article.
Practical Early Access advice
- Unlock or find pets after you can survive Lost Caverns without panic-dodging.
- Read the pet’s actual ability text in-game. This wiki will not guess it.
- In a group, call whether your parrot is allowed to assist. Extra aggro on a boss is how named fights get messy.
- Do not spend the whole level-25 cap chasing a seventh unnamed pet. Spend XP on the attributes your archetype actually uses.
- If a pet is missing after you swap worlds, check whether you are on your character or on someone else’s world flags.
When Mudtek publishes the remaining seven names, this page should grow. Until 15 September 2026, the useful sentence is short: nine unique pets, different abilities, parrot and courier are the only identities with older notes, and none of them replace a five-spell rotation.
For the rest of the 2 September list — Elf, Shadow, Goblin Caves, expanded Wildwood — use the EA content update and the map. For how to spend a session, use Getting Started.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Dimraeth players.
How many pets are in Dimraeth Early Access?
Mudtek's 2 September 2026 post says nine unique pets with different abilities. Older notes mention a parrot and a pet courier. The other names are not published here.
Do pets travel into a friend's world?
Hero progression travels; world story does not. A character-bound pet should follow the hero. A ranch tied to a world would not. Mudtek has not published a ranch rule.
Is there a pet tier list?
Not on this wiki. There are no public ability tables for all nine. The archetype tier list is for confirmed race–class pairs, not pets.
Can a pet replace my spell bar?
No. You still equip five spells, spend stamina and Concentration, and land basics. Pets are extra verbs, not a second character.
Are forest NPCs like Myrll pets?
No. Myrll is a named NPC. Pets are a separate Early Access feature with a roster of nine.
Where do I read the rest of the 2 September update?
The Early Access content list covers Elf, Shadow, Goblin Caves, expanded Wildwood, the level-25 cap, and pets in one place.
