Dimraeth Archetype Planner
Only the named race × class pairs, plus Phillip's XP warning. No invented roster.
An archetype in Dimraeth is race + class, not a cosmetic skin on a shared tree. Phillip’s November 2025 Steam post is the systems bible: every pairing gets its own skill tree, spells and passives no other pairing can take, and an archetype passive that sweetens one attribute. The 1.0 target is eight races × six classes = 48 archetypes. Early Access on 15 September 2026 will not drop all 48 on day one.
This planner only tables pairings Mudtek has named. Confirmed races: Minotaur, Human, Elf, Fairy. Confirmed classes: Brawler, Magician, Shadow. That is a 12-cell grid, not a 48-cell one. The missing four races and three classes stay blank on purpose. Shadow cells exist as names only — no invented stealth tree. For flavor, kit, and creation-order detail, leave this tool and read character creation, races, classes, and the starter builds list.
Confirmed roster (named only)
| Slot | Confirmed names | Still unnamed |
|---|---|---|
| Races (8 at 1.0) | Minotaur, Human, Elf, Fairy | 4 |
| Classes (6 at 1.0) | Brawler, Magician, Shadow | 3 |
| Archetypes at 1.0 | 48 planned | Most of them |
| Demo opener (April 2026) | Minotaur, Human × Brawler, Mage/Magician | The later names |
Store copy still sells the destination (48 unique trees, more than 300 spells, five equipped at a time). Your September character is a subset. Do not roll a “secret seventh class” you saw in a concept leak.
Confirmed race × class pairs
Every cell below is legal math: each confirmed race can take each confirmed class. Named archetype titles appear only where Phillip published them.
| Race \ Class | Brawler | Magician | Shadow |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minotaur | Vanguard. Axe-forward frontline. Archetype passive: bonus stamina when you level Strength. | Confirmed pair. Minotaur Magicians still lean on the racial earth kit and Strength-scaling spells. No extra official title published here. | Confirmed pair. Named on 2 September 2026. No published kit, passive, or title. |
| Human | Confirmed pair. Human racial kit swaps sword and crossbow; Brawler still layers a class tree on that kit. No official archetype title published here. | Confirmed pair. The documented caster-side example opposite Vanguard. No extra official title published here. | Confirmed pair. Named only. This planner will not invent a stealth title. |
| Elf | Confirmed pair. Store copy frames elves as magic-capable; Brawler is still a valid off-kit choice, with XP taxes if you force melee stats. No official title published here. | Confirmed pair. Likely the “on-kit” caster read, but this planner will not invent a tree name. | Confirmed pair. Two thin kits stacked. Wait for published nodes. |
| Fairy | Confirmed pair. A Fairy always fights as a staff caster, even on Brawler. Strength is an expensive off-stat. No official title published here. | Confirmed pair. Phillip’s XP example: a Fairy Magician pays much more to raise Strength than a Minotaur Brawler does. | Confirmed pair. Staff caster plus unnamed Shadow loop. No official title. |
Race is the base kit. Class is the second kit. A Minotaur Magician is still a heavy, axe-adjacent body throwing earth-leaning magic. A Fairy Brawler is still a staff caster who bought a Brawler tree, not a tiny punch-out tank. If that sentence bothers you, pick an on-kit cell instead of fighting the racial idle stance.
XP cost advice (this is the actual planner)
Attributes cost XP. The price of each point is primarily set by your race–class pair. Dumping XP into off-stats does not make a clever hybrid. It makes a character with fewer total attribute points at the cap, because you overpaid per point. Phillip’s example is the whole lesson: Strength is cheap and productive on a Minotaur Brawler (Vanguard even gains bonus stamina when Strength goes up) and painfully expensive on a Fairy Magician.
Practical rules that follow from that post, not from a hidden sim:
- Find the primary attribute the tree is pushing. The archetype passive tells you. Vanguard points at Strength. If your pairing has not been named, watch which stat the racial kit and class spells actually scale.
- Buy the cheap on-kit stats first. You get more points, more passive value, and spellbook gates you can actually pass. Crafted universal spells still check attributes.
- Treat off-stats as a tax, not a personality quiz. One point to wear a specific spellbook is a decision. A 20-point Strength stack on a Fairy Magician is how you lose the level cap.
- Do not plan around unnamed classes. You cannot pre-spend an unnamed extra class tree that this wiki is not allowed to invent. Reroll when Mudtek names them.
- Co-op identity comes from different cells, not from four people cloning Vanguard. Pair a frontline Minotaur Brawler with a Human Magician so the party actually uses two trees. Read starter builds for safer first-hour splits.
Which stats to level on the named pairs
| Pair | Level these | Avoid as a default |
|---|---|---|
| Minotaur Brawler (Vanguard) | Strength, and whatever stamina-adjacent stats the tree lists next to it | Caster off-stats that the racial kit does not feed |
| Minotaur Magician | Magician-scaling stats that feed elemental spells; keep enough body stats to survive as a Minotaur | Ignoring Strength entirely if gear gates demand it, but do not rebuild as a second Vanguard |
| Human Magician | Magician stats first; extra kit stats only if the Human sword and crossbow swap is part of the rotation | Random Strength stacks “for hybrid” |
| Human Brawler | Brawler melee stats on the Human swap kit | Full caster spreads that fight the class tree |
| Elf Magician | On-kit caster stats | Expensive brute Strength unless a spellbook truly requires a dip |
| Elf Brawler | Expect XP taxes; only take this if you want the elf kit plus Brawler | Melee-stat dumps that ignore the elf kit |
| Fairy Magician | Caster stats. Strength is the expensive example Mudtek already gave. | Default Strength stacking |
| Fairy Brawler | Caster stats anyway. The racial kit does not become a brawler animation set. | Rebuilding it as a second Vanguard |
| Any race + Shadow | Wait for published scaling. The 2 September 2026 post named the class, not the cheap stat. | Inventing stealth or assassin dumps |
Stamina is a combat resource, not an attribute you necessarily see on the level-up row. Vanguard’s extra stamina-on-Strength is a pairing perk, not a global rule. Slot five spells, not fifty. Racial trees contribute a starting kit plus signature spells (Minotaur charge and quake, Human weapon swap). Class trees add another roughly half-dozen. Spellbooks fill the rest if your attributes qualify.
How to leave this page
You should now have a cell, a primary stat, and a list of things you will not buy. Next reads: character creation for Personas and the full creation order, races and classes for kit text, starter builds for first-hour loadouts, and Getting Started when you actually boot the 15 September 2026 client. Come back here when Mudtek names another race or class; the extra rows will be those names, not placeholders.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Dimraeth players.
How many archetypes can I roll at Early Access launch?
Not 48. That number is the 1.0 target. Launch has multiple races and classes. This planner only lists the four races and three classes Mudtek has named, including Shadow as a name-only cell.
What is the safest documented starter pair?
Minotaur Brawler (Vanguard) if you want on-kit melee and cheap Strength. Human Magician if you want a documented caster identity. See starter builds.
Why is raising Strength on a Fairy Magician a bad default?
XP costs follow the race–class pair. Phillip's example is that Strength is far more expensive for a Fairy Magician than for a Minotaur Brawler, so off-stat dumping lowers your total points at cap.
Does a Fairy Brawler punch like a Minotaur?
No. Race is the base kit. Fairies remain staff casters even on Brawler. You buy a class tree, not a new skeleton.
Where are the other four races and four classes?
Is this a live skill calculator?
No. It is a confirmed-pair table and XP-cost briefing. There is no public stat API to sim against until the Early Access client exists.
