Confirmed Dimraeth Classes

Brawler, Magician, and Shadow. Three more 1.0 classes remain unnamed.

Classes and Combat Roles

Class in Dimraeth is the second tree, not a replacement for race. Brawler does not take away a Minotaur’s axe. Magician does not take away a Fairy’s staff. Each class adds a combat loop, a handful of signature spells, and — when paired — a third archetype tree plus a unique passive.

Three classes are confirmed: Brawler, Magician, and Shadow. The 1.0 target is still six. This page will not invent the other three names. Steam Early Access is 15 September 2026. Demo and playtest builds used Brawler and Magician. Mudtek named Shadow as a new Early Access class on 2 September 2026. The kit is a name, not a stealth spreadsheet.

Read races before you lock a pair. Beginner plans sit on starter builds. Letters sit on the tier list hub. Creation order is character creation then the archetype planner. How the meters actually feel is the combat guide. Return to the Characters hub or the NPC roster for Earlwood faces.

Brawler

Official copy: the Brawler is a close-combat specialist who mixes weapon strikes with feral, instinctive techniques. Grappling, swift attacks, and unpredictable movement are the fantasy. The body is lightly armored and agile. The resource is relentless stamina. The job is to overwhelm people in chaotic melee, not to hide behind a tower shield that does not exist in the kit.

What Brawler adds on any race.

  • A class tree of about six signature spells on top of your racial kit.
  • Permission to live in grappling range. Poise and stun matter here; you cannot treat every swing as cancelable.
  • A stamina-first loop. Dodges, blocks, parries, grapples, and attacks all pull from the same commitment bar.
  • On Minotaur, the pair is Vanguard: bonus stamina whenever you level Strength, and a documented keystone path that can convert basic attacks to Blunt so hidden stun build-up fills faster. Combat-week notes also call that combo Horned Vanguard.

What Brawler does not do.

  • It does not change the racial weapon. Fairy Brawler still holds a staff. Human Brawler still has sword and crossbow. Minotaur Brawler still has the axe.
  • It does not grant Magician’s published fire/ice/lightning weapon blends.
  • It does not make off-stat XP free. A Fairy Brawler still pays the Strength tax.

Who should take it. Players who want to learn Souls-lite combat from inside the enemy’s wind-up. Minotaur Brawler is the S-tier beginner starter build. Human Brawler is the optional hybrid if you like weapon swapping more than Vanguard’s stun job. Fairy Brawler is the documented oddity — staff caster in a grappler’s class — and it is a second or third character, not a first.

Magician

Official copy: the Magician wields elemental magic to enhance combat, seamlessly blending spells with weapon strikes. Fire, ice, and lightning are the published elements. The Magician adapts to exploit weaknesses and strikes with arcane power and martial precision. This is not a turret class in the store language, and it is not a turret class in the combat loop.

What Magician adds on any race.

  • Elemental tools that seed Burning and Chill (Poison and Bleeding exist as stacks too; Magician is the cleanest published elemental path).
  • A class tree of about six spells that sit on the five-slot bar with your racial kit.
  • A Concentration loop. Stamina is still physical exertion; Concentration is spells. In combat, Concentration returns when basic attacks land. You weave. You do not stand still and empty the bar.
  • Strength-scaling spell options when the race is Minotaur, so a Minotaur Magician remains an axe frontliner rather than a backline staff.

What Magician does not do.

  • It does not replace the racial weapon. Humans still swap sword and crossbow. Minotaurs still bring the axe. Fairies still bring the staff — Magician is the class that matches that identity instead of fighting it.
  • It does not give you Vanguard’s stamina-on-Strength hook. That passive is a Brawler archetype feature.
  • It does not let you equip the entire 300-plus spell pool. Five slots. Press, hold-to-charge, and channel varieties exist; some spells store extra charges. Spellbooks in the world add universal magic if you meet attribute requirements later.

Who should take it. Players who want the second resource (Concentration) on day one. Human Magician is the documented A-tier starter. Minotaur Magician is the optional hybrid for people who already understand the axe. Fairy Magician matches staff-caster fantasy and sits at B on the beginner list because Strength is expensive — do not “fix” it. Elf Magician is unranked until the Elf kit is public; marketing is not a tree.

Shadow

Mudtek’s 2 September 2026 post listed New Class: The shadow next to Elf, expanded Wildwood, Goblin Caves, and nine pets. That is the third confirmed class name. It is not a published loop.

What is confirmed. The name. It ships as an Early Access class, not as a 1.0-only teaser. Demo character select did not include it. Pair it with any confirmed race and you get a new archetype on paper — twelve named cells instead of eight — but without a racial-style weapon note or a Vanguard-style passive.

What this wiki will not invent. Stealth multipliers. Backstab percentages. A “Shadow always dual-wields daggers” rule. A claim that Shadow ignores stamina or skips Concentration. Until Mudtek publishes those sentences, Shadow lives inside the same fight as everyone else: five equipped spells, stamina plus Concentration, Final Attack on the third hit, telegraphs, and the five-slot bar.

Who should take it. Players who already finished a documented pair and want the new door. New players should still start Minotaur Brawler or Human Magician. Shadow is extra, not a mandatory first character. If you main it on day one, file what the tree actually does on Discord instead of copying a fake guide.

How class changes the five-spell bar

Every class, including the three unnamed 1.0 classes, will still live inside the same fight:

  1. Five equipped spells.
  2. Stamina plus Concentration.
  3. Final Attack on the third hit.
  4. Poise and stun.
  5. Stacks: Burning, Chill, Poison, Bleeding on enemies; Rage, Kindled, Inoculation as examples of your own buffs.

Brawler spends that structure on grapples, light-armor movement, and (on Vanguard) Blunt stun. Magician spends it on elemental weapon weaves that refill Concentration off basics. Shadow will spend it some other way once the tree is public. The three unnamed 1.0 classes will do the same later.

Party note: in 1–8 player drop-in co-op, mixing Brawler stun with Magician stacks is still the documented two-kit core. A third Shadow in the group is fine if someone actually lands basics. Four Magicians all waiting on Concentration without anyone swinging is a bad reading of the loop.

The six-class 1.0 target

Six classes at 1.0 times eight races is forty-eight archetypes. Demo and playtest used Brawler and Magician (sometimes called mage in passing). This wiki uses Magician, the official site name, Brawler, the official fighter name, and Shadow, the 2 September Early Access name. Remaining classes will roll out in Early Access. They will each add eight new archetypes, not extra buttons on the existing trees.

When a fourth class is named, update this page, the archetype explainer, and the tier list hub. Until then, pick Brawler, Magician, or Shadow, pair it with a race, and take the pair into combat. Class is the loop. Race is the weapon you cannot drop. The unnamed three can wait.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dimraeth players.

Does Brawler wear heavy armor?

No. Official copy calls Brawlers lightly armored and agile. They rely on stamina, grapples, and close combat, not a tower-shield identity.

Does Magician only fight at range?

No. Magician blends fire, ice, and lightning with weapon strikes. Concentration in combat also returns when basic attacks land, so the class wants a weave, not a turret.

How many classes will exist at 1.0?

Six, paired with eight races for 48 archetypes. Confirmed names today are Brawler, Magician, and Shadow. The rest rolls out during Early Access.

Is Shadow fully documented?

No. The 2 September 2026 post named it as a new Early Access class. This wiki will not invent a stealth kit. When Mudtek publishes the loop, this page will grow.

Which class is better for holding stun in co-op?

Brawler, specifically Minotaur Brawler (Vanguard), which has the documented Blunt conversion into stun build-up. Magician's job is elemental stacks, not that keystone.

Can I play Magician as a Minotaur?

Yes. You keep the axe and gain elemental weapon blends plus strength-scaling spells. You do not get Vanguard's stamina-on-Strength passive. See starter builds.
