Dimraeth Starter Walkthrough

Lost Caverns to Earlwood to Wildwood — a first-region route for Early Access on 15 September 2026.

Last updated:

Starter Region Walkthrough

This walkthrough is a route, not a spoiler dump of every line. Dimraeth’s documented starter spine is Lost Caverns → Earlwood Village → Wildwood Forest. Steam Early Access is dated 15 September 2026. The public demo that taught this route closed on 15 July 2026. Treat what follows as the opening region Mudtek already named, not as a finished 1.0 campaign map.

If you have not made a hero yet, stop and open Getting Started plus character creation. A walkthrough cannot save a pairing you will hate for fifty hours. Confirmed races are Minotaur, Human, Elf, and Fairy. Confirmed classes are Brawler, Magician, and Shadow. Elf and Shadow were named for Early Access on 2 September 2026; their kits are still unpublished. Minotaur Brawler and Human Magician are the documented safe starts. Then skim combat so stamina, Concentration, and the third-hit Final Attack are not a surprise in the first cave.

The footage on this page is a first-hour look at how the isometric world actually plays: character pick, the cave, and the first named fight. Use it to calibrate camera distance and swing timing. Do not treat it as a speedrun timer.

Lost Caverns

You wake after a broken ritual that granted immortality you do not understand. Faustas recruits you against Sylbos, Last of the Ogre Magi, who wants the power site Dimraeth. The caverns are the tutorial that pretends it is not a tutorial. Attacks have start-up. Dodges cost stamina. Spells cost Concentration, and Concentration in combat comes back when basic attacks land. If you empty stamina on the first two hits, you will have nothing left for the dodge or the Final Attack.

Loot is input for Faustas’s stronghold, not a score. Pick up materials. Do not stand in the cave comparing rarity tiers until you have a bench. Equipment has rarity and upgrades; a perfect drop is not required to leave. If a pack feels like a wall, you may have wandered into a named encounter — check Boss Fights before you burn food on a random elite.

Cavern checklist

  1. Confirm controls (keyboard, pad, or WASD-plus-mouse) before the first swing.
  2. Keep a three-hit count in your head. The third hit is the Final Attack.
  3. After a dodge, land a basic so Concentration returns.
  4. Slot five spells you can press under pressure. Crafted spellbooks wait until you have attributes.
  5. Leave with materials and a plan, not with every bag slot filled with junk.

Earlwood Village

Earlwood is the first town that makes the social layer real. Talk before you sprint into Wildwood. Recruited allies and buildings stay in this world. If you are hopping hosts, read co-op first: your friend’s Manga is not your Manga.

People the studio has actually named:

  • Befr — traveling merchant with a caravan, tea, and more cheer than the forest deserves.
  • Manga — exiled Minotaur blacksmith, horns cut, Praesidiism, protection instead of conquest.
  • Eldorian — young Elf, spear and spell, Guild Hall greeter.
  • Tamsin — enchanter from Aldoria, banners, quiet tunes, fragile health.
  • Alaric Audet — folk hero the land already knows.
  • Myrll — exiled at the forest edge; doe legs, fox tail; tied to the dryad thread.

Deeds are short quests. They teach systems and introduce those people. Do Deeds in the world you intend to keep. Bounties are repeatable bosses; they are homework for combat, not a substitute for the story spine. If you only press Bounties, you will have loot and no village.

Build something at the stronghold before you vanish for two hours. Farms, quarries, potions, and cooked meals that raise vitality are the loop, not a lobby screen. Invest materials in ally facilities to expand shops and crafting. Romance and personal quests exist; they are also world-tied.

Wildwood Forest

Wildwood is where the starter region stops holding your hand. Corruption is why you are here. Demo footage ties a dryad-related quest to building, and names the Corrupted Treant as the forest’s exam. Treat the woods as a stamina test plus a gathering run. Return home to craft. The loop is explore → fight → gather → build → level → group up.

Named fights on the documented route:

  • Monstrous Droop — early skill check. Read the wind-up. Do not open with five spells and no basics.
  • Corrupted Treant — Wildwood thesis. Sweeping branches, area denial, a reason to have cooked food and a five-spell bar you trust.

We do not invent extra boss titles. When Early Access adds names, those names belong on the bosses page, not here as rumors.

Map sense, without a fake atlas: Lost Caverns teach commitment. Earlwood is the hub. Wildwood is the first wilderness that can kill a greedy rotation. Mudtek’s Early Access notes also point at expansion beyond Earlwood and Wildwood over an 18–24 month window. Do not expect this walkthrough to cover biomes that are not in the starter region yet.

Co-op on this route

Solo is fully supported from cave to Treant. If friends drop in, one of you hosts on peer-to-peer. Your level and bags travel; Earlwood’s story does not. Host on the steadiest connection. There is no dedicated server and no split-screen. Find people on Discord looking-for-group. Do not donate your Deed flags to a pickup world unless you mean to.

A practical session order

  1. Create the pairing you will main. Use the archetype planner if you are staring at the grid.
  2. Clear Lost Caverns without emptying stamina on every pack.
  3. In Earlwood, talk to Befr and Manga, then take a Deed before a Bounty.
  4. Build or cook once at the stronghold.
  5. Enter Wildwood for gathering and the Treant only after the village has names attached.
  6. If the fight is the wall, open Boss Fights instead of grinding blind.
  7. After the Treant, go home and build. The dryad thread is not done until the stronghold changes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dimraeth players.

What is the first region in Dimraeth?

The documented starter spine is Lost Caverns, then Earlwood Village, then Wildwood Forest. Early Access will expand beyond those zones over 18–24 months.

Should I do Deeds or Bounties first?

Deeds first in the world you intend to keep. Bounties are repeatable bosses for combat practice and materials, not a replacement for the village story.

Which bosses appear on this walkthrough?

Monstrous Droop and the Corrupted Treant, both documented in demo footage. This page does not invent extra names.

Can I walk the starter region solo?

Yes. Solo is fully supported. Co-op is optional 1–8 player online drop-in on a peer-to-peer host. There is no split-screen.

Do recruited NPCs travel with my hero?

No. Recruited allies and buildings stay in that world. Your level, gear, spells, and inventory travel. Read the co-op guide before you hop hosts.

Is this a full 1.0 campaign walkthrough?

No. Steam Early Access is 15 September 2026. This is the named starter region only. Later biomes will be added when Mudtek ships them.
