Quests and Story

Dimraeth’s story follows the aftermath of a botched ritual that granted you and a handful of strangers immortality you do not fully understand. The villain is Sylbos, Last of the Ogre Magi. The wizard who recruits you is Faustas. You are bound to forces long forgotten across the war-torn lands of Mirkea, where ancient ruins whisper of forgotten magic and fractured peoples struggle to unite against a rising darkness.

The quest system is structured around main story quests, deeds (short quests), and bounties (repeatable boss work). The wiki does not invent quest names or objectives outside what Mudtek has published. This page covers the documented NPCs, quest structure, and what is known about the story ahead of Early Access on 15 September 2026.

Pair this page with Walkthrough for the region-by-region route, NPCs for where to find quest-givers in Earlwood, and Stronghold Building for how Faustas’s base ties into the narrative.

Main storyline

The story begins when you are caught in a ritual gone wrong. Faustas appears and recruits you as an immortal bound to forces you do not understand. The opening region — Lost Caverns through Earlwood Village into Wildwood Forest — introduces the core cast, the stakes, and the antagonist.

Sylbos, Last of the Ogre Magi is the primary antagonist. His backstory involves ogre magic and a threat that predates the current conflict. The specific plot beats beyond the opening region are not all published; this page will not invent dialogue or quest chains.

Deeds are short quests that expand the world. Bounties are repeatable boss encounters — not daily tasks or infinite loops, but named repeatable work against bosses you have already defeated.

Quest structure

Main quests

Main quests advance the story and unlock new regions, NPCs, and stronghold facilities. They are gated behind story progress and cannot be repeated.

Deeds

Deeds are short quests scattered across Mirkea. They are shorter than main quests and often tied to specific locations or NPCs. The demo included deed-style objectives in the Lost Caverns and early Wildwood sections.

Bounties

Bounties are repeatable boss encounters. They are not infinite grinding — they are named, repeatable boss work that earns rewards without advancing the main story. The demo’s named bosses (Monstrous Droop and Corrupted Treant) appeared in both main quest and bounty contexts.

Key NPCs and quest-givers

The following NPCs are documented from the wiki and demo footage. Each has a portrait, background notes, and a general location in Earlwood Village.

Faustas

The wizard who recruits you after the botched ritual. He runs the stronghold and serves as the primary quest hub for crafting, NPC bonds, and main story progression. Faustas is the face of the stronghold system and the closest thing to a narrator the game has.

Alaric

A combat-focused NPC who appears in the Wildwood. Likely tied to early combat tutorials or bounty systems.

Eldorian

A magic-oriented NPC. Possibly related to Magician class content or spell-related quests.

Myrll

Documented from character portraits. Role and location in Earlwood are not fully published.

Tamsin

An NPC linked to the shop system. Investing in Tamsin’s facility expands shop inventories. Quests tied to Tamsin likely involve trade goods or NPC bonds.

Rahaner

Documented from character portraits. Role and location in Earlwood are not fully published.

Befr

A merchant NPC encountered early in the Lost Caverns. He is one of the first NPCs players meet and is tied to early trade and tutorial content.

Heimen

Documented from character portraits. Role and location in Earlwood are not fully published.

Manga

An NPC linked to the shop system alongside Tamsin. Like Tamsin, Manga’s facility investment expands what the stronghold shop offers.

Early Access content scope

The opening Early Access slice is a complete starter region: Lost Caverns through Earlwood Village into Wildwood Forest. The story in this slice is complete for the starter zone — not a cliffhanger that requires later patches to resolve.

Main quests beyond the starter region, additional deeds, and the full NPC roster will be documented as Mudtek publishes them. This wiki will not invent quest chains, reward tables, or NPC backstories outside what is confirmed.

What this page will not do

No invented quest names outside documented deeds and bounties. No fabricated reward tables or objective checklists. No claim that every NPC in the full game is listed. The nine NPCs above are confirmed from the wiki and demo footage. When Mudtek publishes more, this page grows.

Read Walkthrough for the practical route through the opening region. Read NPCs for the full roster with portraits and confirmed locations. The Guides Hub is the map of everything else.
