Dimraeth Cooking
Food is a meter, not a garnish — eight documented recipes and why you cook before every named fight.
Dimraeth’s Cooking station turns raw ingredients into meals that restore Hunger and grant combat buffs. The Campfire is where the loop becomes food, not flavor text. Steam Early Access is 15 September 2026. This page documents the eight recipes Mudtek has published. Upgrade tiers are omitted; base recipes only.
Pair this page with Combat Systems for why vitality matters, Stronghold Building for how the Campfire sits in the home base, and Crafting for the other three stations that turn gathered materials into useful things.
Why cooking matters for combat
The studio is direct: hearty meals increase vitality. That is not a role-play line. In a Souls-lite fight where health, stamina, and Concentration are the three meters, food raises the health baseline before the bar is even drawn. Entering a boss fight without cooking is entering with one resource already missing.
The practical rule: cook before every named encounter. Monstrous Droop and the Corrupted Treant are the two documented demo checks. If you are walking into Wildwood for a Bounty, bring food.
Cooking station
The Campfire is the Cooking station. It sits at Faustas’s stronghold. Ingredients come from farms, foraging, and hunting in the Wildwood. If you ran Lost Caverns and skipped Earlwood’s people, you may not have a Campfire yet — that is the Getting Started order at work.

Ingredients and where to find them
- Beast Meat — From beast-type enemies in the Wildwood. Hunting is part of the gather loop.
- Critter Meat — Smaller creatures. Easier to find but lighter restoration.
- Droop Gelo — From Monstrous Droop and slime-type enemies. A core alchemy ingredient too.
- Droop Core — Rarer drop from the Monstrous Droop boss. Roasted as a specialty.
- Treant Wood — From the Corrupted Treant and forest nodes. Forestry run after the boss.
- Tenderberry — Foraged in the Wildwood. Common early gathering.
- Thaumablossom — Foraged magical flower in the Wildwood.
- Large Goblin Tooth — From goblin enemies, especially elites. Goblin Caves will be a source.
- Apple — Foraged or from farms. Simple ingredient.
- Water — Gathered from water nodes or produced via Alchemy Table from Droop Gelo.
The gather-to-cook loop
The order is: explore Wildwood, fight, gather materials, return to the stronghold, cook, then go back out. If you are standing in the forest comparing parse screenshots after every pack, you are skipping the part where Dimraeth becomes a home base plus an expedition map.
Farms at the stronghold grow some ingredients over time. Plant before a long session; harvest when you return. Quarries and similar structures feed the other crafting stations, not the Campfire directly.
What this page will not do
No invented recipe names outside the eight documented. No upgraded versions of the base recipes. No claim that every meal in the full design is listed. When Mudtek publishes new cooking recipes, this page grows.
Read Stronghold Building for how the Campfire sits in the base. Read Boss Fights for why you cook before Monstrous Droop. Read Crafting for the Alchemy Table, Crafting Bench, and Personal Crafting stations that handle the other 40 recipes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Dimraeth players.
Does cooking actually affect combat?
Yes. Mudtek describes hearty meals that increase vitality. Food is a meter in Dimraeth, not a cosmetic bonus. Entering a named fight without cooking means starting with lower maximum health.
Where is the Cooking station?
The Campfire at Faustas's stronghold. You need to have reached Earlwood and started the stronghold building loop before you can cook.
What is the best cooking recipe?
Hunter's Stew and Nature's Ward Steak are the most ingredient-intensive recipes, suggesting stronger effects. Roasted Droop Core is a specialty from the first boss drop.
Can I farm ingredients?
Yes. Stronghold farms grow some ingredients over time. Foraging in Wildwood and hunting beasts provide the rest. Quarries do not feed the Campfire directly.
How many cooking recipes exist?
Eight base recipes documented from demo and playtest. Upgrade tiers are not listed. More recipes may exist at higher upgrade tiers or later in Early Access.
Should I cook before every fight?
Before every named encounter or Bounty, yes. For random Wildwood packs, a cooked meal is ideal but not always practical. Named fights are where food makes the most difference.
